B.MOTION, Workshop

1) Meet the choreographer Steve Paxton/Goldberg variations
Artist: Annika Pannitto
Participants max 16 aimed at children from 7 to 10 years
From 22 to 25 August
The title is inspired by the expression Meet the Artist, which usually indicates the moment when the artist is invited to dialogue with the audience to share the process behind a performance.
Although not live, we will meet the choreographers and choreographers through their works to start a learning journey and discover how dance and choreography have evolved and questioned their own history, Profoundly changing the use of the body and its relationship to movement. The goal is to bring children closer not only to individual works but also to the context in which they were created, the processes that allowed their realization, the exercises and studies that artists have created to develop their own path and through which they have contributed to the evolution of live arts.

2) Intervening spaces
Artist: Tumbleweed
Participants min 6 max 20 aimed at professionals and amateurs
From 22 to 25 August
The company Tumbleweed, present at the festival with the group performance A Very Eye, will share with the local community the practices that emerged from the creative research generating the show and addressing the issues of interdependence and collective bargaining. Over the course of three days, different models of interaction will be explored and invented: constellations of ever-changing intertwined movements. Based on great precision and continuous rhythmic and tactile listening, the patterns will allow you to create moving combinations, work on proprioception and groove, use touch to see. In duets, trios, etc. the different constellations will be related to each other, as well as in space and time. Also looking for an answer to the question: from which point of view do we observe and where are we observed? Proposing also some experimental exercises on the notions of territory and border; a cartography in motion on our social and political relations.

3) How can we be serious without taking ourselves too seriously?
Artist: Ayelen Parolin
Participants max 20 addressed to professionals
From 22 to 25 August
Like animals, like children, like adults... Using rhythm, listening and spontaneity, will be activated the creation of a palette of colors ready to articulate improbable situations, absurd, unreasonable and free from any logic. A game of associations without meaning, which allows to circumvent arbitrariness with a comic potential. A way of creating that revolves around freedom and the pleasure of doing and the pleasure of doing and undoing together.

Participation in the workshops is free of charge, subject to registration and a guarantee of full-time participation.
For all 3 workshops, a public outcome is expected on Monday 25 August 2025
